Current openings for Full-Time, Part-Time or PRN Medical Technologists/Medical Laboratory Technicians.
MT/MLT’s perform processing and testing on blood and other specimens which requires the knowledge and understanding of laboratory testing methodologies, instrumentation, quality control, and reference ranges. An MT/MLT always demonstrates good laboratory practice, understands and follows all CLIA guidelines and regulations, and strives to report the most accurate and precise results in a timely manner. They will act as a resource to physicians and support staff to answer questions and provide information. An MT/MLT will be required to exhibit excellent customer service in all interactions with patients, physicians, and support staff.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Acts as a generalist, performing testing in the following areas: Chemistry, Special Chemistry, Serology, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Blood Banking.
Operates all instrumentation according to manufacturer and laboratory procedures to deliver accurate, precise, and timely results
Ensures all maintenance, calibrations, and quality control is performed on all instrumentation and troubleshoots instrument malfunctions as necessary.
Evaluates instrumentation, quality control, and patient results to identify issues. Uses technical knowledge and problem solving to formulate possible solutions to correct the problem.
Assist in the training of new personnel
Maintains documentation of all activities as required by CLIA and laboratory procedure.
Associate Degree in Medical Technology through an accredited university and successful completion of an NAACLS or ABHES accredited MLT program.
New Graduates will be considered
Certification as MT/MLT through ASCP or equivalent
> 1 Year of General Laboratory Experience
