Responsibilities:
- Acknowledge that the patient always comes first and always project an attitude of such.
- Serve as a radiologic technologist, ensuring quality and effectiveness in handling each individual encounter and situation.
- Operate all X-ray, CT and DEXA equipment as directed to produce high quality diagnostic images using established guidelines and diagnostic imaging protocols
- Identify, prepare and position patients, with or without assistance, for ordered procedures by using established radiology protocols and processes
- Participate as a team member in all departmental duties as assigned and readily accept accountability for work assignments and responsibilities (including answering phone to set up appointments, escorting employee to appropriate x-ray room, performing X-ray, CT and Dexa procedures ordered, ensuring results are assimilated and sent to appropriate providers, escorting patient back out to waiting room or appropriate exit, etc.)
- Provide prompt and courteous assistance to other radiology staff and medical personnel on an as-needed, as-time-allows, basis
Skills and Abilities:
- Radiologic Technologist status certification (ARRT) with training and/or equivalent education and experience
- Preference will be given to candidates with a minimum of 1-2 years of training and hands-on experience
- BLS certification required.
- Proven interpersonal relationship skills and a team player; demonstrated professional attitude
- Hands-on computer skills; attention to detail and ability to write legibly
- Ability to gather, strategically organize, and appropriately disburse test results as required
- Candidate should have no problems walking or standing for long periods with occasional bending, kneeling, reaching, stooping, twisting and/or turning and pushing or pulling objects from an awkward position; must be able to lift/pull/manipulate 50-100+lbs and have proficient auditory, visual and verbal communication skills
