Growing up in a small, eastern Congolese village, in a country where life expectancy is 57, my family and I experienced some of the consequences of limited accessibility to healthcare. I grew up knowing that if I could make a difference in someone’s life, that If I could save a life, I would have to be within the healthcare field. I have pledged to help every patient that I encounter regardless of the availability of resources. I became a Registered Nurse in 2008 after attending St. Louis Community College at Forest Park. I decided to further my education and obtained my Bachelors in Nursing through Maryville University in 2010. In 2017 I graduated with my Masters in Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) at Maryville University. I worked as a Registered Nurse at Missouri Baptist Medical Center, St. Anthony’s Medical Center and Barnes Jewish Hospital. I currently am employed as a nurse practitioner with Bistate Cardiovascular Consultant with my collaborating physician, Dr. Zia Ahmad
