About the Role:
Iron County Medical Center has an opening for a Full-time RN (Clinic/OR/Quality) within its Rural Health Clinic. The position will function under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer.
Responsibilities:
Primary Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Work cooperatively with Iron County Medical Center providers and personnel to conduct the goals and objectives of ICMC according to governing body requirements and established internal policies and procedures.
- Assist with monitoring the clinical quality measures and develop training to improve data metrics for patient care.
- Monitors medical practice efforts to ensure compliance with internal and external QI standards. Reviews medical records and other documentation to ensure quality care. Help prepare the annual QI report.
- Coordinates the effort to gather data and prepare reports to meet the requirements of requestor and other regulatory/accrediting agencies, including patient satisfaction data.
- Monitor HIT tools (Population Health System and Health Information Exchange) to provide population management to the identified patient populations by Senior Leadership to assist with quality improvement efforts.
- Serves as the PCMCH Champion for ICMC to include participating in training/continuing education opportunities, train all staff on all aspects of PCMH, create and receive approval for PCMH policies and procedures for recognition requirements and processes, assessing and monitoring the implemented and annual review.
- RN in PACU will be responsible for assessing patient status, managing pain and airway, and ensuring safe discharge from the recovery area.
- Monitor and assess postoperative patients’ vital signs, neurological status, and overall condition using advanced clinical judgment.
- Provide exceptional patient care during the immediate postoperative period, closely monitor patient recovery, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure an optimal outcome.
Skills and Abilities:
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Missouri with appropriate formal education.
- BLS certification required.
- Experience in critical care settings such as ICU, trauma centers (Level I or II), emergency medicine, or hospital medicine.
- Ability to multi-task with a sense of urgency
- Good customer and interpersonal communication skills with ability to demonstrate respect and to maintain composure with confidence.
